Find The Best Features In Watches

without comments

Leather is one material that provides distinct features particularly for gears such as watches. It is a symbol of success and power that will set you above the rest. Leather was produced for its wonderful protective properties and durability. But fashion designers changed the image of this material into something more. Now leather represents wealth and authority.

This is why leather brown boots should form part of your wardrobe. It fits both men and women too. Leather boots were used to be worn by the cowboys. This rough image is probably brought about by its sturdy features.

But the image of the leather is now no longer limited to cowboys as its used has extended to other products as well. A leather watch is one good example for this. Many men seek watches with leather straps because it provides a look of elegance for the wearer.

Sometimes men do not like to keep wearing formal or executive looking watches all the time. That is why, companies create men’s sport watch that use leather straps. This way, the formal wristwatch and the informal look provided by leather are combined seamlessly.

In making leather bands, companies mainly make use of three different kinds of animal skins: crocodile, ostrich and stingray. Each has features that distinguishes them from each other.

The animals sought for leather are not endangered. The Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Flora and Fauna have come up with the policies and treaties that will ensure that these animals are duly protected.

For those who prefer sports watches, it is important that you know the features you are looking for. Chronograph watches for stopwatch and time measurement. For travelers, a dual-time zone feature would be great. Another great feature is the perpetual calendar for those always on the go.

A sports watch should not only be durable but also reliable. Water resistant watches should be able to stand water pressures equal to 100 feet below the water surface. Watches that are water resistance within 50 meter range is the usual standard. Some though can resist water forces for up hundreds of meters. Chronometers have been tested in Swiss observatories and are considered the most enduring watch.

Water proof watches are now known as water resistant watches. The name change was mandated by the Federal Trade Commission in the United States during the 1960′s. This is in consonance of the truthful disclosure mandate for sellers. The names used to refer to them may have changed but the technology remains the same.
